Welcome to The Pelham! As a renowned music and entertainment venue for over 45 years, we bring together the old and the new in Newport, Rhode Island. Our dog-friendly building has been a prominent fixture on the corner of Pelham and Thames street, becoming known, all around town, as the best spot for live music and entertainment in Newport, RI. Our stage has featured top notch artists such as Jim Carrey, Bill Murray, Billy Joel, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Buffet, Arthur Ashe, and many more, making us a hub for locals and tourists alike, no matter the season.

One Pelham East

Ask around… everyone knows we’re the best spot to groove the night away in downtown Newport! With a variety of rooms for you to explore on the first floor, you can also experience a round of darts, foosball, shuffleboard, ping-pong, and even show off your pool table skills while you rock to our live music year-round.

Wondering about our drinks? We’ve got it all! With four completely stocked bars, we have a special drink for everyone, and so does our sister venue, Top Of Pelham, right upstairs from us!

TOP OF PELHAM

If you venture a few floors up, you will find our newly renovated hidden gem, Top of Pelham. Perfect for private events, this premier third floor space is ideal for alternative private events with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Newport Harbor, the illuminated Pell Bridge and the bustling downtown action.

The Top of Pelham ballroom is fully equipped with a stage lined with plush, red velvet booths and a sleek, full service bar, ready for your orders! It’s the perfect alternative vibe for a classy night out.

The building’s character, along with its scenic views, create a truly unique event venue for birthday parties, after parties, welcome parties, bridal showers, corporate events, live entertainment, bachelorette celebrations, and more!

DUELING PIANOS

Even though our TOP floor is mostly known for being one of the best locations for private events in Newport, RI, we also have top-selling events that are open to the public, like our Dueling Pianos experience, happening every Friday and Saturday night.

Every weekend, our stage becomes occupied by two grand pianos where two entertainers perform audience requests from every genre and era imaginable. Every show, audience members get pulled up on stage for toasts and special dedication songs, to make the evening even more unforgettable.

DUELING PIANOS

Once you arrive, look for our big, bright piano sign on the side of our building, and follow it up the street. You’ll see our red velvet ropes and be greeted by our helpful security staff who will direct you to the third floor for the show.Tickets start at $5, and they can be purchased at the door, or you can book a reservation online to guarantee a VIP table or booth. But hold on… there’s more! On Saturday nights, the party doesn’t end when our show does. Our resident DJ flips the room into a nightclub-style dance party to cap off your Saturday night just the right way!

From a friendly game of shuffleboard to a tense game of pool against our reigning local champions, the Pelham has it all. Play your friends on our dart boards, fusball table, or take a seat at a classic pacman table.

Featuring the best top 40 cover bands out of Boston, the Pelham is proud to continue it’s tradition of hosting the best party in Newport night after night.
