One Pelham East & the Top Of Pelham are rooted in history. Built in 1975, we’ve been throwing the best parties in Newport, RI, for generation after generation.

Our building is spread across three levels, and even though we can hold up to 450 guests, we also cater to small gatherings offering private & semi-private options. We have two built-in stages for live entertainment, an incredible harbor view, an epic downtown location, and nearly every pub game you can think of.

We’re the perfect spot for holiday parties, birthday party, after party, bridal shower, bachelorette, and even corporate gatherings. If it’s worth celebrating… it’s worth hosting it at One Pelham East and the Top Of Pelham!

When you book with us, you not only gain access to one of the most renowned and historic venues in Newport you gain usage to our top of the line sound engineering, optimal-LED lighting and in-house talent. Sing-along to the featured entertainment of the night, or hire an in-house DJ to mix privately, just for you and your guests.

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our accommodating Pelham staff to plan every detail of your event. We only offer the best for our clients, which is why we are one of the only event venues in Newport, Rhode Island, that allow you to use third party vendors for catering, decoration, and more!

The TOP can host up to 204 people for cocktail events and up to 90 people for formal, seated events. Our Gallery Room has a total standing capacity of 38 guests and seating capacity of 26 guests. The first floor of One Pelham East has a total standing capacity of 274+ standing room capacity and a total seating capacity of 70+. As you can see… we have plenty of space for your party – large or small.
